In addition to direct public benefit, this project will deliver professional, academic and organisational benefits.
It will strengthen local analytical and evaluation capability by developing expertise in identifying and
assessing the real-world impact of vaccination programmes using routine health data. The findings can be
shared internally to support learning across public health, commissioning and NHS partners, and may
contribute to wider academic or professional discussions on vaccine effectiveness and urgent care demand.
Organisationally, the work will support evidence-based decision-making, improve use of linked system-wide

data such as WSIC, and help benchmark local performance against national policy intentions, strengthening
future service evaluations and commissioning processes.
