This project will benefit patients by improving the safety, quality and equity of care across North West
London. By analysing how services are used and where outcomes vary, it will identify areas where
care can be improved and highlight groups at higher risk of poorer outcomes.
The findings will support more targeted and consistent improvements across providers, helping to
reduce unwarranted variation and inequalities in care. They will also inform and evaluate patient safety
initiatives, ensuring that changes lead to real and measurable improvements.
Overall, this work will contribute to earlier identification of risk, more timely and appropriate care, and
a safer, more reliable experience for patients.
